Roadside Emergency Kits

It's been said that you should always hope for the best and prepare for the worst, and that definitely applies to driving. While it's important to make sure that your vehicle is in good working condition, you should also always have a good roadside emergency kit on hand just in case you find yourself stranded.

This kit should at the very least include jumper cables, a flashlight, a tool kit, a first aid kit containing things such as bandages and instant ice packs, tools for patching up a damaged tire, and fluids such as motor oil or antifreeze. You should also pack a blanket when you travel in cold weather as well as some non-perishable snacks just in case you find yourself stranded for a longer period of time.

Even though you might not find much help finding a blanket or a first aid kit from a mechanic, a local dealership or auto service shop can help you find things such as jumper cables and tools, so don't hesitate to ask for advice if you think you'll need it.
